ABSTRACT
Attempt was made to analyze the effect of temperature on the course of ozone synthesis in oxygen. A two-side system of electrode thermostating applied enabled a more effective homogenization of the gas temperature in the discharge space as compared with the conditions existing in ozonizer with one-side cooling. The measurements were carried out in a glass ozonizer at thermostating liquid temperature within 0 - 50°C.
High ozone concentrations (up to 8 mole %) were obtained and energy efficiency reached 150 g ozone per 1 kWh. Except at small ozone concentrations, the concentration of ozone in the product mixture decreased with increasing temperature of the thermostating liquid.
