ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study is to simulate the heating in the complex structures: the thermal reactive barriers. The damageable materials, which compose the structures, present strongly no-linear thermal properties. Thus, a finished finite-volume program, including thermal-degrading materials properties was developed and validated. We present in this study a comparison between inert and reactive materials. The reactive barriers allow to delay the structure overheat and the delay in response increase with the reaction enthalpy.
