AIMS AND SCOPE
Fundamental advances in microelectronics, biotechnology and nanotechnology have made it possible to understand spatial and temporal phenomena on the atomic, molecular, microscopic, and macroscopic scales. Emergence of integrated circuits with shrinking scales, increasing density, and faster speeds, new materials and devices designed with nanoscale building blocks and innovative processes, and nano-devices that can be incorporated in the modern interior designs and have the potential to profoundly change our economy, to improve our standard of living, and to bring about the next industrial revolution. The ability to translate these advances into new products, processes and designs will require a transformation in the engineering modeling, simulation, and design.
The aim of the journal is to advance the research and practice in diverse areas where interactions across various scales affect the ultimate behavior of the complete engineering system for the various interior planning and engineering. The journal will publish original papers and educational articles of general value to the field that will bridge the gap between modeling, simulation and design of products based on multiscale principles aimed at reducing prototyping costs and time to market. The journal will provide a valuable resource for the education of next-generation engineers, scientists and designers who understand the importance of multiscale phenomena for modern interiors and have the ability to utilize this knowledge in their design work. It is intended to researchers and practitioners in academic, governmental, industrial and manufacturing communities closely working with graphic and interior designers.
