ABSTRACT

As obesity becomes more prevalent in society today, health care of this population needs to be addressed. Obesity has been linked to primary and secondary health issues that affect the medical condition and rehabilitation of this group. This review of information describes medical conditions linked to obesity and the rehabilitation issues that occur in relation to it. The rehabilitation professional should be aware of these conditions to appropriately treat this population.
