The full factorial experimental design used for optimization of the nutrient medium composition for cultivating Spirulina platensis Geitl. Optimization was carried out. The introduction into the medium of selenium (Na₂SeO₃), germanium (GeO₂), and iodine (KI) considerably improved the nutritive value of the biomass. Productivity on the optimized medium made up 1.55-1.60 g/L for six days of cultivation.
