The paper is concerned with the seasonal development of asexual conceptacles of Bossiella compressa Kloczc. in the Sea of Japan near the southwestern coast of Sakhalin. Variations are revealed in the terms of sporulation which took place since the mid-1980's till the late 1990's. An assumption about the relation of these variations to the succession of microphytes in this region is advanced.
