    ABSTRACT

The productivity and the content of free amino acids, peptides, protein, phycobiliproteins, polysugars, and lipids in the biomass of the blue-green alga Spirulina platensis (Nordst) Geitl. CALU-835 were studied under the influence of the coordination compounds of zinc of the [Zn (A)2] and [Zn (A, B)] type. The productivity of Spirulina with the use of [Zn (D, L-Ser)] and [Zn (Gly, D, L-Ser)] was found to grow. The coordination compounds of Zn (II) containing glycine and serine increase the content of phycobiliproteins 1.3 times, that of proteins 1.1-1.2 times, of peptides 2.8-4.2 times, and of free amino acids 1.5 and 2.4 times. The coordination compounds of Zn (II) with L-serine and D, L-alanine are important in cultivation of Spirulina for the production of biomass containing the higher content of polysaccharides and lipids.
