A list of macrophytobenthos of the Paramushir Island is presented; the list contains 167 species of algae (Chlorophyta - 33, Phaeophyta - 41, Rhodophyta - 93). Data on phytogeography, frequency quotients and shelf area where these species occur are included. Thirty-one species (Chlorophyta — 5, Phaeophyta - 5, Rhodophyta - 21) belonging to 25 genera are new records for the flora of Paramushir.
