    ABSTRACT

Excretion and reassimilation of natural algal metabolites is a mechanism of adaptation of these plants to changes of environmental conditions and daily rhythms of photosynthesis, as well as to the mechanisms of their growth and reproduction. The intensity of growth of algal biomass depends inversely on accumulation of organic exometabolites in the aquatic environment; it is determined by their assimilation. Among the natural exometabolites of algae, bound and free aliphatic organic acids predominate.
