New data on the flora of Centrophyceae (Bacillariophyta) of the Kursiu Maros Lagoon of the Baltic Sea

ABSTRACT

The species composition of Centrophyceae (Bacillariophyta) of the southern part of the Kursiu Maros Lagoon of the Baltic Sea was investigated. A total of 29 species and varieties of Centrophyceae were found in the bay; among them 12 species were registered in the Kursiu Maros Lagoon for the first time. The list of algae species occurring in the Kursiu Maros Lagoon was reduced by 7 taxa as a result of their reclassification.
