Data on the first findings of chrysophytes (Chrysophyta) in various regions of Iran are stated. Different water bodies revealed 25 species and 5 varieties belonging to 3 classes, 4 orders, 9 families, and 13 genera. A list of Chrysophyta with the indication of average frequency of occurrence for each species is given for both water bodies and ecological groupings.
