The available literature data concerning studies of plant growth regulators in algae of different taxonomic groups are generalized. The results of experimental investigations of phytohormones such as indole-3-acetic acid (IAA), abscisic acid (ABA), gibberellin-like substances (GLS), and cytokinins in certain species of green, brown and red marine algae-macrophytes are presented at their different developmental stages.
