Journal of Flow Visualization and Image Processing
Call for Papers for a Special Issue: Articles presented at the 7th International and 45th National Fluid Mechanics and Fluid Power Conference held at IIT Bombay, India, December 10-12, 2018
The above-referred conference is a part of a conference series that has been held uninterrupted for over three decades. Over the years, it has attracted wide participation covering a great spread of both fundamentals and applications in fluid mechanics, as well as transport phenomena. This year, around 650 papers were presented in parallel sessions over three days.
With rapid advancements in imaging instrumentation for fluid flow and the capability of simulating three-dimensional flow configurations, these subjects are increasingly being represented in conference proceedings. Specifically, quite a few articles have dealt with flow imaging from experiments, as well as careful visualization and interpretation of simulation data.
The editors of the special issue attended the oral presentations of articles relevant to the Journal of Flow Visualization and Image Processing and short-listed those of contemporary relevance as well as importance. Only those articles that were orally presented in the conference are being considered for the special issue.
Authors of these conference articles are being individually invited to submit full-length manuscripts to the journal via the call for a special issue. The email invitation contains details such as the page limit of the manuscript and the deadlines. All submitted manuscripts will undergo an anonymous review process that will be conducted by the editors of the special issue.
Articles should be submitted through the Begell House Submission System. Begell House Submission System. When submitted, choose "Submit to special issue." On the drop-down list on the following page, select the issue titled "Special Issue: 7th International and 45th National Fluid Mechanics and Fluid Power Conference."
Other contributing authors can continue to submit articles through the main journal portal as usual.
It is expected that the special issue will be of great interest to the readership of the journal.
Author's instructions for the Journal of Flow Visualization and Image Processing can be found here Instruction.pdf.
