ABSTRACT
The characteristics of heat exchange between the construction material wall and a heavy liquid-metal coolant (HLMC) essentially depend on the state of the wall-liquid metal boundary region.
An experimental stand was designed and the characteristics of the heat exchange from the electrically heated circular pipe surface to the lead coolant were investigated.
The experimental method consisted in the determination of the Nu=f(Pe) dependence and sequential cycles: "oxygen introduction-time interval-hydrogen introduction".
The test results were employed to obtain the calculation formulae for the given heat exchange conditions for various contents of oxygen impurity in the lead coolant circuit and different regimes of circuit exploitation.
