    ABSTRACT

Cavitation damage is known to be predominantly caused by impulsive pressures produced from collapsing bubbles in liquid. In the final stage of the bubble collapse, some important physical phenomena are induced. Mathematically speaking the nonlinear effect is important in this stage. Until now, many numerical attempts have been made to solve the problems associated with bubble collapse, including nonlinear effect. This chapter presents some numerical methods that have been applied to the problems of cavitation bubble collapse. First, spherical bubble collapse and then the dynamics of nonspherical bubble collapse are discussed.
