In this study, an experimental simulation is made to investigate the cooling performances of a confined multi-jets arrangement. Nine jets in square in-line arrays are considered. The jet diameter is 3 mm. The jet-to-jet spacing ratio equals to 2 times of the jet diameter and the jet-to-plate spacing changes from 1 to 4 times of the jet diameter. The jet Reynolds number varies from 100 to 1000. It is utilized an infrared camera for temperature measurement on the impingement plate and a system of PIV camera and laser for the velocity field measurement. The results show a nonsymmetric heat transfer effect on the impingement foil for H/d = 2 where the jet interactions behaviour is similar to H/d = 1 for the neighbour jets and similar to H/d = 3 between the diagonal neighbour jets. For H/d = 1 the cooling effect of the side jet increases compared to that of the central jet at high Reynolds number, but for H/d = 3, the maximum heat transfer coefficient is lowered considerably for the side jet.
