In this study, a complete set of analytical solutions for stratified laminar flows with curved interfaces has been derived. It includes all possible configurations of concave and convex interface, extending from fully eccentric core of the lower phase, to fully eccentric core of the upper phase. These solutions are used to study the effects of the pipe inclination and the interface curvature on the characteristics of counter current and co-current laminar stratified flows. Some interesting associated flow phenomena are discussed. These include the multiplicity of solutions, backflows and the consequential frictional pressure gradient reduction. The solution for the fully eccentric core together with that of concentric core flow enables also the evaluation of the effect of the core eccentricity on the flow characteristics in core-annular flows. This set of analytical solutions is applicable for the design of small scale heat exchangers, where surface tension forces have a significant influence on the flow pattern and the associated flow characteristics.
