    ABSTRACT

This paper presents a theoretical analysis for the boundary layer flow and heat transfer on a continuous moving surface with special suction/injection in power law fluid. The types of potential flows necessary for similar boundary layer are determined and the full similar equations are developed, where the energy equation may be characterized by a power law relationship between thermal diffusivity and kinematic viscosity. Solutions are numerically presented. It is shown that the solution of the boundary layer does not only depend on the velocity of the plate, the velocity of suction/injection, but also on the power law index and the Prandtl number. The characteristics of flow and energy transfer are discussed in detail.
