REVIEW OF CHINA'S COMPUTATIONAL HEAT TRANSFER: A SUMMARY OF SELECTED PAPERS PRESENTED IN THE CHINA NATIONAL CHT CONFERENCES

ABSTRACT

In this paper, as an important aspect of China's achievement and development in Computational Heat Transfer and Fluid Dynamics, selected papers presented in the eight China National CHT Conferences are summarized. In the first section, the paper shows in general the background of China's development of CHT, the birth of China's CHT branch, the successive eight National CHT Conferences and their relations with the development of CHT in China. The achievements and development in different topics of CHT are then summarized and discussed in the following sections, respectively. They are: (i) control-volume-method-based numerical simulation; (ii) heat conduction; (iii) radiation heat transfer; (iv) complex heat transfer; (v) pre- and postprocessing; (vi) applications of the commercial softwares; (vii) applications in engineering. Finally, some conclusions are given.
