Begell House Authors, Editors and Reviewers
For Reviewers
The scientific process depends on the peer review process, which allows a manuscript to be improved by allowing members of the same research community comment on it make recommendations. Reviewers are encouraged to accept the opportunity to review papers with the highest degree of professionalism.
On the journal's home page, please refer to the aims and scope, editorial board, policies and ethics, the author instructions, and the journal's formats and templates
When an editor or associate editor requests a review, you will receive an email containing information about the manuscript, including the title and abstract. The editor may also include additional notes regarding the article.
The email will contain links allowing you to directly accept or decline the review request. You may also log into the Begell House submission system(open in a new tab). If you log in using this option, you will be taken to the Reviewer's home page, where you will see any manuscripts for which you have active review requests under the heading "The following articles need attention". If you click on one of the articles in this list, you will be taken to the "Main" tab of the article. You can also click on the "Files" tab to see and download the manuscript files.
If you have not accepted the review request yet, you will see the options to "Accept for review" or "Decline" the review request. If you accept it for review, the article will be moved into "ON REVIEW". Now from the "Main" tab of the article you will see a link marked "Reviewer's report". If you click on this link, you will be taken to the review report form, where you can complete your review. There is an option on this screen to upload separate review documents as well.
When you are finished filling out the report, click the "Next" button at the bottom of the screen. You will be taken to a screen where you can review your report. If you would like to make changes, you can click "Back". If you would like to complete the report, click "Send Report". It will immediately be sent to the editor handling the article. You also have the option on this screen to print your report.
