Abstract

In this work carbon combustion rates are predicted based on the proposed model for a variety of gas mixture conditions. An entrained-flow reactor was used to experimentally measure the overall combustion rate of pulverized-coal char in different gas temperature (from 1247 to 1575 K) with selected O2 partial pressure balanced by CO2 or/and N2 Discussions about some of the important influencing factors are also presented.
