Abstract
This paper presents experimental results obtained by IMP-CNRS during plasma-arc welding and cladding using industrial equipment of SMEs (ATN, France - SOUDOBEAM, Belgium).
The pyrometers are laboratory-made devices in the frame of an European B.E. project. They are either one point, high spatial resolution, fast one or two wavelengths systems, or a 2D pyrometer equipped with a lO×lO photodetectors matrix.
Experimental data are discussed to identify the influence of process parameters variation, as well as defects on temperature distribution and to suggest some solutions for process control.
