Abstract
The problem of image processing of infrared thermograms is addressed. In particular it is shown that it is necessary to remove both the imaging and the sensor degradations from the thermal images. The first one is due to the limited spatial resolution of
IRSR while the other one to the thermal conduction, inside the heat flux sensor, which is parallel to its surface. The problem of the radiation losses from the viewed surface is also discussed.
