Velocities of large size Fe and Zr particles injected into plasma jet generated in water plasma torch were measured. The velocity of particles was measured by method based on
photography by CCD camera with multiple exposure and triggered shutter. As two views of jet from two perpendicular directions were simultaneously recorded, exact position of particle trajectory in the jet could be determined. The dependence of particle velocity on position of injection and on arc power was determined. Effect of addition of cold gas into plasma jet was investigated.
