Mixing of gases with different temperatures and concentrations is a significant problem in the chemical industry. The kinetic energy of the gas flow is used for the mixing process. The goal of research in this area is the realization of homogeneous concentration and temperature fields in ducts and channels after short mixing lengths of fluid flow. Pressure losses due to mixing phenomena should be kept small.
