The dynamic and static forces which a two-phase jet gave to an impingement plate were studied using two-phase air and water test apparatus under the conditions of atmospheric pressure and room-temperature. As a result, the dynamic and static characteristics of the two-phase jet were well understood and the calculation method for the dynamic and static forces was established. This calculation method can be useful for the design of a shell and tube type heat exchanger, so the improvement of its reliability is expected.
