Abstrakt
A careful analysis of the designed angle tuning system is presented in this report. The errors due to construction and misalignment are discussed for a more realistic case, and the optimum condition for error reduction is obtained as a result. The electronic control module is modified in such a way that the unit is now controllable by a microcomputer. The features of the written software package and its ability to control the mechanical drive system is also demonstrated. Theoretical calculations, and experimental measurements concerning the operation of the computerized drive system are given in full detail. The experimental results show a very linear behavior for the scanning system that is in good agreement with the theory.
