Abstrakt
This paper describes experimental results on the heat transfer characteristics and the optimal liquid filling of a large-scale separate type steel-water heat pipe. Experimental data of boiling and condensation heat transfer are correlated. Finally, a semiempirical turbulent model for condensation heat transfer is presented by using a single continous eddy-viscosity profile spanning the entire condensate film layer. The calculated values by the model have a good agreement with the test data.
