An experimental optimization research on a refrigerator/ freezer with HFC-134a as working fluid was conducted. The parameters of the optimization are the length of capillary tube and the charge volume of refrigerant. By the optimization research the optimal length of capillary tube and charge volume of refrigerant were obtained. Under the optimal condition, the power consumption of refrigerator/freezer decreased 12.4%.
