Abstrakt
Experiments are made on heat transfer and pressure drop characteristics of rhomboid tube bank and circular tube bank with same equivalent diameter and relative spacing. By means of a practical linear regression method, the experimental data are processed, and criterion relations of heat transfer and pressure drop on rhomboid tube bank are derived. Compared with circular tube bank, the experimental results are analyzed. The results indicate that the comprehensive characteristic of rhomboid tube bank is obviously superior to circular tube bank as Re > 1.65 ×104. Yet, when Re > 6×104, the mean heat transfer coefficient of rhomboid tube bank is larger, and the pressure drop is smaller as compared with circular one.
