Abstrakt
The structure of furnace computer aided design system (FCADS) is set up in the paper. Based on it, a brief introduction about expert system, design calculation and drafting system is given. Practice shows that the FCADS is reasonable and it could be widely used.
In architecture, electronics, machine manufacturing and other industries the technique of computer aided design (CAD) has been well developed since 1963 [1,2]. But in metallurgy, especially for furnace design, it lags far behind. In view of this we decided to make more efforts to research and development of industrial furnace CAD system. In this paper part of the results of the study on it for reheating furnace design is given.
