Abstrakt
In this work plasma spraying of A1203 for wear protection applications is presented. In order to gain a better understanding of the interdependencies between process parameters and resulting coating characteristics as well as to optimise the spray procedure, the processing of alumina has been examined by means of diagnostical techniques and numerical modelling. Temperature measurements on the coating surface by High Speed Pyrometry (HSP) and Laser Doppler Anemometry (LDA) measurements of particles in the plasma have been carried out. Numerical modelling was applied to determine velocity fields of plasma gas and alumina particles.
