Abstrakt
A modified vortex method, which is applicable to highly turbulent flows as well as viscous flows, is presented. A new kernel function is introduced so that the effect of a vortex declines with distance but increases with time. Both global and local effects of individual vortices on the velocity field are considered in the simulation. A zero-normal velocity component at a solid boundary is attained in the Monte Carlo simulation by introducing an anti-symmetrical image of the vortex around the boundary.
