A two-phase flow regime in pipes in which dispersed gas bubbles move through a continuous fluid. The relative velocity of the bubbles is dictated by the density difference between the phases. While the bubble flow usually is observed at low flow rate, the bubbles are dispersed into smaller and more widely separated bubbles as the continuous fluid flow rate increases.
