Abstract
In this paper, based on the pump's own performance, taking the position and the pressure of the measurement sections at the pump's entrance and exit as the flow-measuring signals, a nonthrottling method is built to measure and monitor the running pump's flow. The actual experiments on the large-scale axial flow circulating pumps with adjustable moving vanes which match the 300MW generating unit in Yuanbaoshan Power Plant indicate that this method is simple practical and easy to execute on the spot, and the reliable measurement results can satisfactorily meet the engineering demands.
