Voltage-current characteristics of plasmatron with expanding channel

Abstract
Using the purpose-developed quasi-onedimensional Delphi code for the flow in the plasmatron with axial symmetry, calculations of voltage-current characteristics for
plasmatrons with channel expansion angle from 0 to 180 are performed. The behavior of the Mach number under different values of current and expansion angles are investigated. The plasmatron with expanding channel differs by the relatively low level of the pressure and by the higher values of the current, when the critical condition is reached.
