THERMOPHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF PARTICLE-FILLED POLYMER COMPOSITES AT LOW TEMPERATURES. INFLUENCE OF THE THERMAL CYCLING

Abstract
Measurements of thermal conductivity, thermal diffusivity and specific heat of some particle-filled epoxy composites under and without thermal cyclic loading in the temperature range 4.2−400 K are presented. The temperature dependence of the specific heat shows step-wise characteristics at low temperatures. The thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity depend on a number of thermal cycles slightly. The cryogenic stability of a material depends of a type and concentration of filler.
