Abstract
The formation of particles with hollow spherical shape during plasmachemical processing of solutions is discussed. Substitution of compact particles by hollow ones permits to use coarser powders in thermal spraying technology. Experiments shown that it is possible to form coating by plasma spraying of Ce02 hollow particles of size 100 ÷ 200 µm, by gas-flame spraying of Nb205 or Ta205 hollow particles of the same size. Anion impurity of ceramic powders produced by plasma spray pyrolysis may be neglected in the case of thermal spraying.
