Abstract

The utmost high conductance of the heat pipe allows its effective use in a large number of applications of heat transfer devices including the heat exchangers. This paper presents certain results of the research work carried out in CEIB - Civil Engineering Institute Bucharest - concerning the achievement of heat pipe heat exchangers used as heat recuperators in chemical industry. By using the heat from the low thermal potential burning gases and technological waters, the preparation of hot water or hot air as thermal agents for domestic or industrial heating as well as domestic warm water is thus possible.
