Abstract

The development of new constructions of atomizing devices and the use of new working fluids and their mixtures permit widening the fields of technical applications of such devices. In this work some constructive schemes of obtaining the mixture of liquids with different physical properties are described, using a method of emulsifying. The problem of using magnetic liquid and their suspensions as working fluid in the generator of disperse media is viewed in a new aspect. Such an approach makes possible the formation and control a microparticle flow by acting on it with an external nonuniform magnetic field. Based on an analysis and a numerical solution of a set of Maxwell equations, describing the electromagnetic field of a controlling magnetic system, a dependence, is found of magnetic forces, acting on magnetic liquid particle, upon the gradient of magnetic field induction. The results of calculation were used for determining the dependence of magnetic liquid particle motion trajectory on mass − overall dimension and energy parameters of the magnetizing system. The schemes of two- and three-component generators of disperse media are proposed. As a result of experimental development of these schemes, the possibility of atomization of viscous nonuniform media with a high dispersity was shown. A stable effect of magnetic liquid aerosol control by means of changing the magnetizing current and suspension feed pressure is obtained.
