Abstract

Fuji Electric has developed the HFT (High Frequency Turbine) generating system that uses differential steam pressure to acheive more efficient utilization of steam energy at factories and plants. This system generates electric power as well as achieves other functions of the reducing valve. Since the generator used for the HFT generating system is installed within the steam piping, internal components including the generator's stator winding are directly exposed to high steam temperatures As a result, a high heat-resistant (up to 400°C) insulation system has been developed in order to reliably operate the generator In this paper, development of this insulation system and results of overhaul after 2 years in operation will be described.
