Abstract

A lumped parameter model is gived in this paper which is to employ overall energy banlances consider that the heat transfer coefficient(K) is a function of the flow rate which in turn is a function of time; Two kinds of dynamic response experiments have been carried out by using a parallel flow plate-fin heat exchanger(PFHE). one is the inlet temperature exponential change of cold stream, while the other is the test of flow rate step change of cold stream. The experimental and theoretical results are compared and discussed.
