This movie shows elastic plate oscillations in uniform flow at Mach number M=1.82 and flow density 2.45∙10-4. Oscillation mode shape looks like a mixture of the first and second natural plate modes: it has a node located approximately at 1/4 plate length from the leading edge whereas the amplitude of the rear part of the plate is much higher than that of the front part.
