The investigations of the dynamics of round jet development have shown that the natural longitudinal (streaky) structures that are localized in the periphery of the jet core arise directly in the nozzle exit. There can be several reasons for the generation of streaky structures directly in the nozzle exit section, i.e., it can be due to the lift-up effect, presence of grids and honeycombs in the settling chamber, etc. The process of development of streaky structures downstream and their interaction with the ring vortices leads to the turbulization of the jet.
