Sprays for plant protection are in charge of producting drops in concordance with diseases, crops and active ingredients included in the mixture. Because of the situation diversity it is needed a broad spectrum of droplets sizing. In addition, on boom sprayers, the nozzles have to ensure a uniform distribution on the canopy.
For these reasons, most of boom sprayers are equipped with flat fan nozzles. But some other types can be used : hollow cone nozzles, flood jet, pneumatic nozzles, or centrifugal nozzles with vertical or horizontal disc.
