This movie shows flutter oscillations of elastic plate at Mach numbers 1.0 < M ≤ 1.12. The plate shape looks close to the first natural mode shape; deflections of the plate upward and downward are symmetrical to each other. Oscillations have a certain component of traveling wave moving downstream.
