Résumé

Today, towns, cities, and counties are hardly capable of coping with the problems presented by the enormous amounts of refuse and pollution confronting them. Individual measures are no longer sufficient to master such situations. Only a combination of many processes can ensure that varying types of waste, from household and commercial garbage, curbside rubbish, to clinical refuse and sludge from treatment plants can be disposed of in an environmentally sustainable way.
