Résumé
In the course of research into flexible assembly systems, a linear vibratory small parts feeder has been developed which, because of its small intrusion into the working envelope of the manipulator, is suitable for this application. As an extension to this work, and to help designers develop orienting tracks for particular applications, a CAD/CAM system has been developed for the design of linear feed tracks with all the necessary orienting features for a range of applications. The intention is to take out of orienting system design the high cost of both designing and manufacturing these features, to enhance their scope of application and to improve their reliability.
This paper describes the feeder design and the CAD/CAM system which has been developed.
This paper describes the feeder design and the CAD/CAM system which has been developed.
