Résumé

The investigation results that extend the early published works [1,2] related to the express-method of the heat pipe quality control are presented. Due to the apparent advantaqes - high productivity and vast functional capabilities (you are allowed to test both individual heat pipes and the heat pipes being assembled with cooled devices) - recently this method drows ever-growing attention of the researchers and practicing engineers. This paper presents some theoretical aspects of the express-method allowing to disclose the general rules, which are to be considered when used the given method for different heat pipes (the selection of the heat pulse input section, its value and duration and so on).
Furthermore some theoretical and experimental results concerning the express-method modification when instead of the heat pulse input the intensive heat rejection is provided at the small section of the heat pipe body. In this case the control method sensitivy is increased concerning the presence of the non-condensible gas small quantity in the heat pipe cavity.
