Résumé

Simulation is one of the most powerful analysis tools available to those responsible for the design and operation of complex processes or systems. The ultimate purpose of simulation modeling is to aid the decision makers in the planning, design and control of systems or processes. Simulation is no longer thought of as a tool of last resort.[l]. Too often it is brought out after problems arise or theoretical throughputs do not match the actual!

The following pages will review a simulation case study for the printed circuit board industry. The primary purpose or goal of this project was to evaluate, with the aid of simulation different layouts and scenarios for a fully automated primary image facility. The results were quite enlightening!
